Police Seize Arms and Ammunition in Raozan

Chattogram: Chattogram District Police recovered two locally made LG guns and three rounds of cartridges during a special operation in Noazishpur Union under Raozan upazila of the district early today. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raozan Police Station Mohammad Sajedul Islam confirmed the incident in the afternoon.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operation was conducted around 3:45 am, based on secret information. The raid was led by OC Sajedul Islam, alongside Sub-Inspector (SI) Khorshed Alam and other police personnel. During the operation, police discovered the arms and ammunition concealed in a specially hidden place on the ceiling of a tin-shed house. The house belonged to Nurul Amin alias Kalu, a fugitive accused, aged 40, and was located at Mohar Kazi’s house in Ward No 1 of Noazishpur Union.



Unfortunately, Nurul Amin alias Kalu managed to flee the scene during the operation. In response, SI Khorshed Alam filed a case under the Arms Act with Raozan Police Station regarding the incident.
