Prime Suspect Apprehended in Tanvir Hasan Murder Case

Jashore: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has successfully apprehended the primary suspect in the high-profile murder of Tanvir Hasan. The arrest took place in the Shankarpur area, where five crude bombs and a pistol were also seized from the suspect, identified as Musa.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Musa, aged 30, is known as a notorious criminal in the locality of Shankarpur, Jashore. RAB-6 acted on a tip-off and conducted a raid in the IT Park area under Kotwali Model Police Station at approximately 4:30 PM on Tuesday. Musa, the son of Hafizur Rahman and a resident of Shankarpur, was apprehended in connection with the murder of Tanvir Hasan.



Following Musa’s arrest, RAB personnel retrieved five crude bombs and a pistol magazine from the same locality at around 10:40 PM that evening. The explosives and ammunition, along with the accused, have been handed over to the Kotwali Model Police Station in Jashore for further investigation.



Tanvir Hasan was brutally attacked by a group of miscreants wielding sharp weapons while he was en route to the Shankarpur Ansar Camp at around 12:30 AM on December 7, 2025. Despite being rushed to Jashore Sadar Hospital, Tanvir succumbed to his injuries, and the attending doctor pronounced him dead.
