Mirpur: The much-awaited 60-feet connecting road at Mirpur in the city was opened for traffic after its construction today. Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb inaugurated the connecting road as the chief guest, while Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Mohammad Ejaz presided over the ceremony.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Taiyeb stated that the road holds symbolic significance, emphasizing the potential benefits of government service providers collaborating under one umbrella to enhance the city’s livability. The DNCC Administrator mentioned ongoing efforts to resolve the city’s pending works, noting that the completion of the 60-feet connection road resolves an issue pending for 17 years. He highlighted the challenges in coordinating work among various government agencies.
The inauguration event was attended by notable figures including Director General of the Postal Department SM Shahab Uddin, DNCC Chief Engineer Brigadier General Md Moin Uddin, Regional Executive Officer of Zone-4 Mohammad Jalal Uddin, among others concerned with the project.
