16th Death Anniversary of Educationist Quazi Azhar Ali Commemorated

Dhaka: The 16th death anniversary of Quazi Azhar Ali, a prominent educationist and former secretary, will be observed tomorrow. Quazi Azhar Ali, who was also the founding chairman and honorary vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University, passed away at Bangladesh Medical College Hospital in 2009. He is remembered for his contributions to education and social work, having established numerous educational institutions throughout his career.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a series of events are planned to mark this solemn day. A milad and doa mahfil will take place at his grave in Banani graveyard, where prayers will be offered. Additionally, food will be distributed to orphan children as part of the commemorative activities.



Furthermore, a discussion and doa mahfil will be held at the Bangladesh University campus in Mohammadpur at 11 am. These events aim to honor the legacy of Quazi Azhar Ali and his lasting impact on education in Bangladesh.
