Govt Officials Urged to Understand Legal Provisions in Duties

Khulna: Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mahbuba Farzana emphasized the necessity for government officials and employees to have a clear understanding of legal provisions pertinent to their duties. This was highlighted during the virtual inauguration of a day-long training program titled ‘Case Management Laws, SF Writing Techniques and Duties’ at the Khulna Circuit House conference room.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mahbuba Farzana, speaking as the chief guest, remarked on the importance of being governed by the Constitution and the need for government personnel to comprehend legal frameworks related to their responsibilities. She stressed the importance of knowing the basics of legal cases relevant to their roles, ensuring that government officers are equipped to handle cases judiciously and fairly for both plaintiffs and defendants. She further underlined the necessity of knowledge about Administrative Tribunal Rules and related laws.



The session was conducted by Additional Secretary (Development) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Dr. Mohammad Altaf-Ul-Alam. Special guests included Joint Secretary Mahfuza Akhtar, Khulna District Judge Md. Masud Parvez, and Deputy Secretary Taslima Nur Hossain. Other notable speakers at the training included Additional Deputy Commissioner Bithan Kumar Mandal, Director of the Divisional District Information Office Gazi Zakir Hossain, Deputy Principal Information Officer of the Regional Information Office A.S.M. Kabir, and Regional Director of Khulna Betar Md. Shamim Hossain.



Participants in the program consisted of officials from various departments under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting across the 10 districts of the Khulna Division.
