Rangamati: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a large quantity of Indian smuggled cigarettes from Bottoli Para area on the Borichari-Ghagra road in Kaptai upazila of the district last night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team of BGB conducted a raid in the area following a tip-off. During the operation, they seized 36,230 packets of Indian smuggled cigarettes, which are valued at approximately Taka 87.52 lakh.
The seized cigarettes have been handed over to the concerned authority of customs for further action.
