Noakhali: New franchise Noakhali Express have roped in Pakistani all-rounder Maaz Sadaqat for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The franchise confirmed today through a press release, saying that Sadaqat will be available from the start of the tournament.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the 20-year-old was a standout performer in the recently concluded Asia Cup Rising Stars, finishing as the top run-scorer with 258 runs in five innings at an average of 129 and a strike rate of 177.93, while also picking up seven wickets at an average of 7.42. Sadaqat's memorable show came against archrivals India A as he claimed two crucial top-order wickets before slamming a 47-ball 79 not out, steering his side to an 8-wicket win with 40 balls to spare.

For his stellar show, he was named the Player of the Tournament as Pakistan Shaheens clinched the Rising Stars title. He also made his debut in the Pakistan Super League for Peshawar Zalmi and made an impression with a 33-ball 55 in a big 102-run stand with Babar Azam.
