Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 16.5 percent, reaching US$13,671 million during the July to December 6 of the current fiscal year (FY26), according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today. The amount was $11,732 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year 2024-25.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the first six days of December, inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 6.5 percent, reaching US$632 million. Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $594 million.
