Narsingdi: A madrasa teacher was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Kishoreganj highway at Monohardi upazila of the district last night. The deceased was identified as Mostafa Joarder, 52, a resident of Sallabaid area of Ward No-6 of Monohardi Municipality. He was a teacher at Jalal Uddin Dakhil Madrasa in Purbachar Paratola of Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred in the Monohardi Bus Stand area around 8.30 pm when a speedy motorcycle hit Mostafa as he was crossing the road. Critically injured, Mostafa was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Monohardi Police Station Mohammad Mahtabur Rahman confirmed the incident.
