Ghorashal: BNP Standing Committee member and former minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan today expressed his admiration for Begum Khaleda Zia, describing her as a steadfast and uncompromising leader who has consistently stood firm against injustice. He highlighted her unwavering commitment to fairness and how this has earned her the respect of people across different political affiliations.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Moyeen Khan made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a discussion and prayer session organized by Palash Thana and Ghorashal City units of Chhatra Dal. The event was aimed at seeking prayers for the recovery and well-being of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. Dr. Moyeen Khan emphasized that Begum Khaleda Zia harbors no feelings of hatred or vengeance, which is why she is respected by people from various walks of life. He added that she has always been a staunch advocate for democracy in the country and is currently facing significant health challenges.
Ghorashal City Chhatra Dal Convener Amanullah Aman presided over the program, which saw participation from various BNP leaders. Among those who addressed the gathering were Palash Upazila BNP President Abdus Sattar, Ghorashal Municipality President and former Upazila Vice-Chairman Md. Alam Molla, and Upazila BNP General Secretary Professor Saiful Islam. Senior Joint General Secretary Md. Bahaauddin Bhuiya Milton, Palash JCD Convener Md. Nazmul Hossain Bhuiya Sohel, Member Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Papon, and Municipal Member Secretary Ariful Islam Arif were also present.
