Dhaka: The plan to take BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia to London has encountered a delay as the special air ambulance, provided by the Emir of Qatar, failed to arrive due to a technical fault.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir stated that the air ambulance was expected to arrive on Friday, but a technical fault prevented this. Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the party's media cell, conveyed that if the issues are resolved, the air ambulance might arrive by Saturday.
Fakhrul further mentioned that Begum Khaleda Zia's departure is contingent on her health condition and the medical board's approval. If deemed suitable, she is expected to leave for London on December 7 (Sunday).
