Dhaka: Ending all speculations, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced that the 12th edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will start from December 26. The BPL will begin its journey from Sylhet this season with two matches being held every day. The first match starts from 1 PM and the second one from 6 PM. However, on every Friday during the tournament, the matches will begin at 2 PM and 7 PM respectively.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sylhet Titans will take on Rajshahi Warriors to kick-start the tournament on December 26. Following this, Noakhali Express will face off against Chattogram Royals in the next match of the day. Sylhet will host the BPL until January 2, after which the tournament will move to Chattogram from January 5 to 12.
Dhaka will be the venue for the remaining matches, including the playoffs and the final, starting from January 15. The final match is scheduled to be held on January 23.
