Dhaka: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today urged party activists and countrymen to pray for BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's recovery at home or in mosques, instead of gathering outside Evercare Hospital. Speaking to journalists after visiting Khaleda Zia at the hospital this evening, Rizvi emphasized the importance of avoiding hospital gatherings to ensure the well-being of all patients.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rizvi stated, "We cannot say that she is out of danger. However, the doctors are making every effort. We pray that Allah will restore her health. She will return to us again." He described Khaleda Zia as the "security of democracy, sovereignty and independence" of the country, highlighting the national focus on her health condition.
Rizvi addressed the intense emotional response from supporters, acknowledging their concern but urging them to refrain from gathering at the hospital. He noted that such gatherings could disrupt medical services and the treatment of other patients. Rizvi appealed to supporters to express their support through prayers at home or in mosques, hoping for Khaleda Zia's swift recovery.
