Rajshahi: An eight-party alliance spearheaded by Jamaat-e-Islami is poised to convene a significant divisional rally in Rajshahi on Sunday, aiming to advance its five-point demands. The event is set to take place at the historic Madrasha playground, scheduled from 2 pm to 4 pm, as revealed by party leaders during a press conference. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the press conference, held at a city restaurant, featured Imaj Uddin Mondal, secretary of the Rajshahi city unit of Jamaat-e-Islami, as the focal speaker. Mondal disclosed that approximately 2.5 lakh leaders and activists from all eight districts of the Rajshahi division are anticipated to participate in the rally. Mondal identified the participating parties as Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Andolon, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, Khelafat Andolon, Nizami Islam Party, Bangladesh Development Party, and Jatiya Ganatantrik Party.
