Dhaka: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain announced plans to construct a bridge at Company Ghat in Kamrangirchar, a move aimed at improving local transport facilities. The bridge will be managed by the City Corporation and Zila Parishad.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Asif Mahmud made this announcement while serving as the chief guest at the 'National Education Seminar and Award Ceremony' commemorating the 6th anniversary of Markazut Taqwa Madrasa in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka. He highlighted the necessity of infrastructure improvements, noting the narrow roads and lack of playgrounds in the area.
He further stated that there are plans to widen the roads and construct a playground in ward - 55 to facilitate sports and recreational activities for the local community.
The programme was led by Maulana Habibullah Miazi, Director General of Jamia Nuria Islamia Madrasa. Following the event, the Adviser visited Jamia Nuria Islamia Madrasa and paid respects at the grave of Maulana Muhammad Ullah Hafizji, a notable Islamic scholar in the region.
