New Episode of ‘Aynaghar Files’ Features Testimony of BNP Leader Salahuddin Ahmed

Dhaka: The government today released the fifth episode of the documentary series “Aynaghar Files” that highlighted the harrowing account of BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed, a victim of enforced disappearance and the anguish his family endured. The episode focuses on Ahmed’s personal experiences and the emotional turmoil faced by his family during his absence.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs produced the 17:04-minute documentary, which features Salahuddin Ahmed recalling the emotional distress during his disappearance. The documentary is part of a series aiming to shed light on enforced disappearances and their impact on individuals and families in Bangladesh.



In the documentary, Salahuddin Ahmed is heard expressing his fears and concerns, saying, “O Allah, will my children, my descendants, and my relatives never be able to visit my grave?” His testimony provides a poignant insight into the psychological impact of enforced disappearances, not only on the victims but also on their families who are left in uncertainty and despair.
