32,000 Headmaster Positions Unfilled in Primary Schools: Bidhan

Tangail: Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar announced that approximately 32,000 headmaster positions remain unfilled in primary schools across the country, posing a significant challenge to effective school management.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Bidhan addressed reporters after inaugurating the newly constructed playground at Bagbari Choubari Government Primary School in Katuli Union of Tangail Sadar Upazila. He highlighted that a large-scale teacher recruitment notice has already been issued to mitigate the current teacher shortage, expressing optimism that these efforts will enhance the dynamism of the primary education system.



Dr Bidhan also emphasized the importance of maintaining school operations during uncertain situations such as earthquakes. He advised prioritizing caution and preparation over panic, given the unpredictable nature of such events.



The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque, Tangail Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahin Mia, and officials from various departments.
