Phultala: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former parliament member Mia Golam Porwar has articulated the party’s vision to establish a welfare-oriented state grounded in justice. Parwar emphasized that his party’s aim is to create a state that addresses the needs of all citizens, including children, youths, women, the elderly, and professionals, ensuring that no individual suffers due to extortion or unemployment-related despair.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mia Golam Porwar spoke as the chief guest at a voters’ rally held at Dhakuria Government School ground of Phultala Sadar Union. He underscored the significant influence young voters will have in shaping the next government, noting that approximately 4.5 crore out of nearly 13 crore voters are youths, whose mandate will be pivotal in the election outcome.

In discussions with journalists following a women voters’ rally, Parwar reiterated the five-point demand of the Islamist parties, which continues to guide their movement, including divisional rallies across major cities. He expressed concerns that conducting a referendum on election day could create confusion among voters and advocated for necessary amendments to be presented through a referendum first.

Parwar further claimed that the Chief Adviser is being misguided, asserting that the interim government must take decisive steps to address the ongoing political crisis. He highlighted the lack of a level playing field, attributing it to the administration’s compliance with directives from a specific political group.

In his appeal to voters, Parwar called for support of the “Daaripalla” (Scale) symbol in the upcoming national election, urging citizens from all parties, beliefs, and backgrounds to help establish a just state. The event also featured a women voters’ gathering at Atara Srinath High School playground, chaired by Ward President Maulana Sarowar Hossain, with contributions from District Secretary Munshi Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Secretary Prof Mia Golam Kuddus, and other notable speakers including Khanjahan Ali Thana Ameer Dr Syed Hasan Mahmud Tito, UP member Hafiz Golam Mostafa, and Farhad Hossain.
