Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) is set to organize a meeting on November 27 to strategize and provide directives for the deployment of law enforcement agencies. This meeting aims to ensure the maintenance of law and order at polling stations and across constituencies in preparation for the forthcoming 13th national parliament elections.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting is scheduled to commence at 10:30 am at the conference room of the Election Commission Secretariat located at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city’s Agargaon area. The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) will lead the meeting, with participation from other election commissioners.
Invitations to attend the meeting have been extended to key figures, including the Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, and Chief of Air Staff. Also invited are the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, Inspector General of Police, and heads of various security and intelligence agencies such as Border Guard Bangladesh, Coast Guard, Ansar and VDP, DGFI, NSI, NTMC, Director General of RAB, and the Additional Inspector General of Police of SB, CID.
