Cumilla: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-nominated candidate for Cumilla-6 constituency Monirul Haque Chowdhury today asserted that the country would never lose its way under BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s guidance.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Monirul Haque Chowdhury highlighted the significant role played by Ziaur Rahman during the nation’s critical period in the 1971 Liberation War, drawing parallels to Tarique Rahman’s current leadership during the nation’s crisis. He made these remarks while addressing a massive rally in Cumilla city, attended by thousands of BNP activists and leaders.
Monirul further emphasized his unwavering loyalty to the party, stating, “I do not recognize any group; I recognize the worker of the ‘Paddy Sheaf’ and the soldier of Ziaur Rahman.” He reaffirmed his dedication to the principles and goals of the BNP.
During the rally, Monirul Haque Chowdhury also announced plans to publicly share his thoughts and strategies for the development of Cumilla Metropolitan and its people. He scheduled this presentation for next Thursday at the Town Hall field, aiming to engage with the community and outline his vision for the region.
