Hathazari a Shining Example of Communal Harmony: Mir Helal

Hathazari: Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, BNP Chattogram Divisional joint organizing secretary and candidate for the Chattogram-5 Hathazari-Bayezid (Partial) constituency, today emphasized that Hathazari exemplifies peaceful coexistence among different communities. He urged the community to protect this harmony from potential disruptions caused by political, social, or religious factors.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mir Mohammad Helal made these remarks as the chief guest at an award distribution ceremony at the Fatehabad Multipurpose High School auditorium in Hathazari. He noted that Hathazari has a rich heritage in education, culture, humanity, social behavior, environment, and ecology. He described it as a unique hub of knowledge and learning, surrounded by the Halda River.



Mir Mohammad Helal highlighted Fatehabad Adarsh Multipurpose High School’s historical significance, noting its 130-year legacy as part of the town’s heritage. He mentioned that if the BNP gains power with public support in the future, they intend to nationalize this traditional institution.



The event was presided over by the Headmaster, Md. Shahidul Islam, with Professor Abdullah Al Ahsan Chowdhury from Hathazari Government College as the main speaker. Fazal Karim Chowdhury, a guardian member of the school management committee, and Gias Uddin, former chairman of Mekhal UP, also addressed the function as special guests.



The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prizes to students who excelled in various competitions.
