Feni: Seeds and chemical fertilizers have been distributed among 1,900 farmers in Daganbhuyan upazila as part of the agriculture incentive program aimed at increasing Rabi crop production.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the distribution took place during a function at the upazila parishad hall on Monday. The event saw the presence of Mohammad Atiq Ullah, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) Feni, who attended as the chief guest. The function was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Shahidul Islam.

Lutfal Haider Bhuiyan, the Upazila Plant Conservation Officer, conducted the program, while Md. Kamruzzaman, the Upazila Agriculture Officer, delivered the welcome speech. The distribution included fertilizer and seeds for various winter vegetables, with the aim of boosting the production of wheat, mustard, groundnut, moong, lentils, khesari, boro ufshi paddy, and hybrid paddy for the Rabi season of the 2025-26 fiscal year.

Deputy Director Mohammad Atiq Ullah emphasized the importance of utilizing every inch of land for farming, including fallow land, house courtyards, pond banks, and other unused areas. The government is providing these incentives to motivate marginal farmers and ensure a higher yield for the upcoming season.
