Dhaka: Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi Team player Mst Srity Akhter, who was named the player of the match for her impressive performance against Uganda, was found upbeat to maintain the winning consistency in the remaining matches. Bangladesh made a winning start in the Second Women’s Kabaddi World Cup by defeating Uganda with a score of 42-22 points at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Srity expressed immense satisfaction following the team’s victory, stating, “I feel so good, it’s beyond words how good I feel. We have won. We’ll try our best to win the remaining matches, following our success in the first match. We will win the next matches, Insha’Allah.” Her optimism reflects the team’s determination to continue their success in the tournament.
Srity, participating in her first World Cup, shared her enthusiasm about the opportunity to represent Bangladesh on an international stage. She conveyed her commitment to work harder and emphasized the team’s collective goal of securing a medal for their country. Despite initial pressure due to unfamiliarity with Uganda’s playing style, Srity noted that the team managed to overcome early disorganization and improve their performance as the match progressed.
