Dinajpur: A total of 85 students have passed for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination at Dinajpur Education Board, with 34 of them achieving the highest grade, GPA-5, following a review of their answer sheets.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the re-evaluation results were officially published on the Dinajpur Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board’s website on Sunday night. Professor Mir Sajjad Ali, the Examination Controller of the board, provided this information.
A total of 22,144 students had applied for re-checking 71,760 answer sheets, within the prescribed timeframe. Following the re-evaluation, 34 students saw their grades revised to GPA-5. Additionally, 26 students improved from GPA-4 to GPA-5, while 41 students moved up from GPA-3 to GPA-4.
A significant achievement was the passing of 85 students who had previously failed in the original results. This year’s overall pass rate for the Dinajpur Education Board stood at 57.49%, with 6,260 students securing GPA-5 in the initial examination.
Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Assistant Examination Controller of the Dinajpur Education Board, stated that the re-evaluation process was thoroughly reviewed and no changes were made outside of the legitimate applications for re-checking.
