Rajshahi: A total of 53 students, who initially failed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under the Rajshahi Education Board, have become successful following the release of the re-examination results.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the board authority made the results available on its website this morning. Controller of Examinations Prof Ariful Islam reported that a significant number of examinees, totaling 25,708, had requested a challenge to 82,223 of their answer sheets. This process resulted in changes to the results of 121 students.
This year, the Rajshahi Education Board achieved a pass rate of 59.40 percent in the HSC examinations. Among the successful candidates, 10,137 students, including 5,682 girls, secured a GPA-5. Prof Islam stated that 1,30,987 students, which includes 63,317 girls, participated in the examinations across 207 centers from 730 educational institutions in eight districts under the board.
The performance of girls surpassed that of boys in both the overall pass rate and in achieving GPA-5. The data shows that 68.69 percent of girls passed, as opposed to 50.69 percent of boys, with 5,682 girls obtaining a GPA-5 compared to 4,455 boys. Despite these successes, 35 colleges under the board did not have any students who passed this year.
