Dhaka: After withdrawing 20 deputy commissioners (DCs), the government has posted them to different ministries and divisions as deputy secretaries. The ministry of public administration issued two separate notifications in this regard last night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the first notification details the new assignments for several DCs. Mohammad Solaiman, previously the DC of Chapainawabganj, has been transferred to the planning division. Fatema Tul Jannat, formerly the DC of Munshiganj, has been reassigned to the social welfare ministry. Mohammad Abdul Awal from Naogaon is now part of the agriculture ministry, while ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandakar from Khagrachari has been moved to the health service division. Additionally, Razib Kumar Sarkar of Lakshmipur has been placed in the ministry of cultural affairs, Saiful Islam from Chattogram has been transferred to the shipping ministry, and Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmood Zaman from Netrokona has been appointed to the land ministry. Md Amirul Kaisar has been transferred to the information and communication division.
The second notification further outlines the reassignments: Mohammad Mofizul Islam, the DC of Pabna, has been transferred to the land ministry; Mohammad Rabiul Faysal from Rangpur to the energy and mineral resources division; Afsana Bilkis from Madaripur to the agriculture ministry; Ahmed Kamrul Hasan from Bagerhat to the disaster management and relief ministry; Md Azharul Islam from Jashore to the health service division; Md Azad Jahan from Bhola to the water resources ministry; Md Israil Hossain to the health education and family welfare division; Sifat Mehnaz from Kurigram to the secondary and higher education division; Mohammad Shafiul Alam from Borguna to the local government division; Muhammad Nazrul Islam from Sirajganj to the power division; Mohammad Delwar Hossain from Barishal to the commerce ministry; and Mohammad Habib Ullah from Rangamati to the housing and public works ministry.
The order, issued for the public interest, will come into effect immediately.
