Jhenaidah: A college student was killed in a road accident in the Hamdah area of the district town here today. The deceased was Swadhin Molla, 18, son of Rowshan Molla of Chhota Kamarkundu Dakshin Para in Sadar upazila and a student of Mashiur Rahman Degree College.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place around 1:30 pm when Swadhin fell off the motorcycle and was crushed under the wheels of a truck. He died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station, Abdullah Al Mamun, confirmed the matter and said police arrested the truck driver.
