Green Skills Summit 2025 Focuses on Empowering Women in Bangladesh

Dhaka: On 16 October 2025, the Green Skills Summit 2025 brought together youth, industry leaders, and development partners, with a focus on enhancing access to employment opportunities, leadership roles, and decision-making positions.

According to European Union, the initiative is part of the Team Europe Initiative on Climate and Energy in Bangladesh, which is mobilising EUR 3.7 billion. The Summit featured messages from Marjeta Jager, Deputy Director-General of DG INTPA, European Commission, who emphasized Europe's commitment to partnerships for climate resilience and inclusive growth. Michael Miller, EU Ambassador to Bangladesh, highlighted Shoktikonna's important role in preparing women leaders for the green economy.
