Dhaka: Police today arrested local Awami League leader and Tularampur Union Parishad chairman Tipu Sultan on charge of attacking students and masses during the July Uprising on August 4, 2024. On a tip-off, a team of police raided the Tularampur area in Sadar upazila of the district and arrested Sultan.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sultan was sent to jail after being produced before a court.
