Chattogram: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 arrested a drug dealer along with 20 kg of hemp from the city's Halishahar area. The arrest operation was carried out in the evening, leading to a significant drug seizure in the region.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrestee was identified as Md. Salman, aged 50, who is a resident of North Halishahar. The operation was led by RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) ARM Mozaffar Hossain. A team from RAB conducted the raid around 7:30 pm on Saturday, successfully capturing Salman along with the illegal hemp.
Following the arrest, both Salman and the confiscated hemp were transferred to Halishahar Police Station for further legal proceedings. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to tackle drug-related activities in the area.
