Six Workers Injured in Gas Explosion at Narayanganj Factory

Narayanganj: Six workers sustained injuries in an explosion at a dyeing factory in the BSCIC industrial area of Fatulla in Narayanganj this morning. The incident occurred at MS Dyeing Printing and Finishing factory located in Enayetnagar union around 8:30 am. The injured workers have been admitted to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute for treatment.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the affected individuals include Al Amin, 30, Azizullah, 32, Selim, 35, Jalal Molla, 40, Nazmul Huda, 35, and Nur Mohammad, 35, who is a security worker at the factory. Factory workers reported that while working in the boiler room on the ground floor, there was an explosion from the gas line, which led to an immediate fire, resulting in the injuries.

Resident surgeon of the Burn Institute, Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, stated that the injured workers from Narayanganj are currently receiving treatment in the emergency department. Fatullah Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Anwar Hossain confirmed the incident and mentioned that police have been dispatched to the scene to investigate the explosion at the factory in the BSCIC Industrial Area. Necessary actions will be taken regarding the incident.
