Khulna: Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), located in Khulna, has shown keen interest in partnering with Khulna University (KU) to enhance academic programs, upgrade laboratory facilities, and engage in collaborative research initiatives.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BAUST Vice-Chancellor (VC) Brig Gen Nizam Uddin Ahmed held discussions with KU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim at KU's office on Sunday to explore potential areas of cooperation. Brig Gen Ahmed emphasized the need for KU's guidance in developing curricula, improving laboratory infrastructure, and organizing joint academic conferences.
In addition, Brig Gen Ahmed proposed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize the collaboration between the two institutions. Professor Karim praised the initiative, noting that KU has already implemented Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curricula aligned with the standards set by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council and the National Qualification Framework to enhance the quality and relevance of higher education.
Professor Karim assured BAUST of KU's full cooperation and expressed hope that BAUST would contribute significantly to national development through innovation and knowledge creation. Brig Gen Ahmed expressed his gratitude for the positive response from KU's leadership and thanked the vice-chancellor for the university's commitment to fostering academic collaboration.
