Dhaka: The National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari today announced that the party has submitted four key issues to the Election Commission (EC) aimed at enhancing administrative transparency and ensuring a fair electoral environment. The issues include the removal of deceased individuals from the voter list. Nasiruddin conveyed this information to journalists following a meeting with Akhtar Ahmed, the Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat, at the Nirbachan Bhaban located in Agargaon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the NCP is also advocating for maintaining the neutrality of EC officials and the establishment of a clear policy regarding symbol allocation. Present at the meeting were NCP’s Chief Organizer for the Southern Region Hasnat Abdullah, Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah, and Joint Member Secretary Zahirul Islam Musa.
NCP’s Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah expressed the party’s intent to maintain a constructive dialogue with the EC, emphasizing the expectation of equal treatment for all parties during the process of symbol allocation. Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah reiterated the party’s clear stance on the issue of symbol allocation, while Joint Member Secretary Zahirul Islam Musa emphasized the party’s commitment to engaging with the EC within the legal framework, expressing hope that the Commission would honor democratic principles and make a favorable decision.
