4 AL Men Arrested for Planning Sabotage in Capital City

Dhaka: Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested four leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital city in the last 24 hours. They were arrested for planning sabotage activities in the capital city, said a police press release.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals are identified as Md. Abdus Salek, the Chairman of Sadar Union of Ullapara Upazila of Sirajganj District and President of Union Awami League; Md. Jamal Uddin alias Hasan Uddin Jamal, President of Ward No. 9 Jubo League of Dhaka South City; Md. Afzal Khan Sumon, Vice-President of Swechasebak League Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station in Dhaka City and former joint convener and former organizing secretary of Greater Tejgaon Police Station Chhatra League; and Abdus Salam Bepari Nayan, former President of Wari Police Station No. 41 Ward Chhatra League in Dhaka South City.
