Dhaka: After a 42-day vacation, which included government and weekly holidays from September 7 to October 18, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh is set to resume its regular judicial activities tomorrow.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a notification signed by Dr Md Atikus Samad, Deputy Registrar of the Administration Wing of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, has been published on the Supreme Court’s official website in this regard. Customarily, on the first working day following the vacation, a courtesy meeting between the Chief Justice, Judges of both the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court, and lawyers will be held on the same day.
The notification indicates that the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the Judges from both Divisions of the Supreme Court will participate in a courtesy meeting with the Attorney General, the President and Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association, and lawyers from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on the day. The event is scheduled to take place at the Inner Court Yard of the Supreme Court, and all concerned parties have been requested to be present at the event between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM.
