2 Held with Smuggled Indian Sarees in Narayanganj

Narayanganj: Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two men and seized huge smuggled Indian sarees from Kutubpur Pagla Bazar area in Fatullah thana of the district in the early hours of today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team of Coast Guard conducted a raid in the area based on a tip-off. During the operation, they seized 620 pieces of smuggled Indian sarees valued at approximately Taka 85.59 lakh, as stated in a press release issued today.

In addition to the sarees, the Coast Guard also seized the truck used for transportation and arrested two men involved in the smuggling operation. The arrestees have been handed over to the local police station, while the seized sarees were transferred to the Bangshal Circle Customs for further action.
