Manikganj: The "Typhoid Vaccination Campaign-2025" commenced today in Manikganj with an initiative to provide the Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) free of charge to over 400,490 children and adolescents. This campaign targets boys and girls in all seven upazilas, including two Poura Sava in the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Civil Surgeon's Office has informed that children and adolescents aged between 9 months to 15 years will receive one dose of the Typhoid Vaccine each.
The campaign was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Manwar Hossein Malla, at a vaccination center in the Manikganj Poura Sava areas. He announced that the initial 10 days of the Typhoid Conjugate Vaccines (TCV) program will be conducted through schools and madrasas, while the remaining days will see vaccinations at EPI Centers and outreach locations. Dr. Malla called upon the public and workers to contribute to the success of this initiative.
