4 Arrested with Large Cache of Drugs in Northern Districts

Rangpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a series of operations, has successfully seized a substantial quantity of drugs and apprehended four individuals suspected of drug trafficking across three northern districts.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB-13's Rangpur Sadar Company, acting on a tip-off, executed a raid at Saptibari Bazar under Aditmari Police Station in Lalmonirhat District. During this operation, 266 bottles of ESKuf and a motorcycle were confiscated, leading to the arrest of Md Mahabub Alam, 40, a resident of Amjhol under Hatibandha Police Station in Lalmonirhat.

On the same day, another operation by RAB-13's Sadar Company was carried out at Paschim Anantapur village under Phulbari Police Station in Kurigram District. This raid resulted in the seizure of 466 bottles of ESKuf and the arrest of two individuals, Md Zaidul Haque, 42, and his wife Most Khadija Begum, 35, both from Paschim Anantapur village.

Earlier, a team from RAB-13's Crime Prevention Company (CPC-1) based in Dinajpur Camp conducted a separate raid, leading to the arrest of Rayyan Hossain, 30, from Pak-Paharpur under Kotwali Police Station in Dinajpur. Hossain was found in possession of 100 pieces of Tapentadol tablets.

The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated drugs and other items, have been handed over to local police stations for further legal proceedings, as stated in the press release.
