Dhaka: The government today appointed Md Liakat Ali Mollah as the secretary of the Law and Justice Division under the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the government had previously assigned Md Liakat Ali Mollah with the current charge of secretary of the division on August 28, 2025. The official appointment was confirmed through a gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary (Admin-2) Md Azizul Haque, following approval from the proper authorities.
The position became available after the former Law and Justice Division Secretary Sheikh Abu Taher was appointed as an additional judge to the High Court Division on August 25, along with 24 other appointments.
