Dhaka: The much-anticipated Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) election will be held tomorrow at a local hotel in the city. The elected directors will then exercise their vote to elect the president. The board of directors’ election is scheduled to run from 10 AM to 4 PM, with the results expected to be announced on the same day at 6 PM. The president and vice-president elections are set to take place later that evening at 7:30 PM, with results expected by 9 PM.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Aminul Islam Bulbul, a contestant for the BCB president post, has pledged to extend the reach of cricket to all districts in the country. Bulbul emphasized that the primary goal is to develop cricket, representing the Dhaka Division, which comprises 17 districts. He shared that during his election campaign, he encountered some inspiring experiences.

Bulbul recounted a visit to Kishoreganj district, where he observed remarkable enthusiasm and planning for cricket development. He expressed optimism about replicating this enthusiasm across the remaining districts, ultimately reaching all 64 districts in Bangladesh. Bulbul believes that the true potential of cricket, especially at the grassroots level, is yet to be fully realized.

He noted the excitement surrounding the BCB election, describing it as an impressive event. Bulbul remarked that on a day when Bangladesh achieved victories in both a T20 match against Afghanistan and a women’s team win against Pakistan in the World Cup, the BCB election news still managed to capture the headlines.
