Dhaka: The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has released fresh guidelines aimed at boosting girl guides and ranger activities within educational institutions across the region.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the new instructions mandate that schools and colleges under the department conduct regular meetings with girl guides and ranger guiders. These institutions are required to submit a quarterly report on these activities to the regional office by the 5th working day of the following month. Subsequently, the regional office will forward the reports to the directorate by the 10th of each month.
The guidelines specify that girl guides and ranger guiders should devise a one-year plan for activities, which must be approved by the respective group committee. The head of each institution is responsible for ensuring that these activities are executed effectively.
Additionally, the girl guides and rangers are encouraged to participate as volunteers in maintaining cleanliness within the educational premises. An annual report on the activities of girl guides and rangers is to be prepared by the institutional heads and submitted to the regional office by January 31. The regional office will then send this report to the directorate office by February via mail.
These measures are expected to enhance the engagement and effectiveness of girl guides and ranger activities in educational settings.
