Feni: A team from the district Narcotics Control Department arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 11,000 yaba tablets in the Daganbhuiyan municipality area of Feni district early this morning. The detainees were identified as Md Omar Faruk alias Bullet Faruk, 44, and Saiful Islam Sujan, 36. Faruk is a resident of Ward No. 3 of Rasulpur union of Daganbhuiyan Upazila, while Sujan hails from Kutubpur Union of the same upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Subrata Sarkar Shuvo, the Assistant Director of the Noakhali District Narcotics Control Department, stated that the department’s team conducted a raid in the Godown Road area of Ward No. 4 in Daganbhuiyan Municipality around 1:30 am. During this operation, the team apprehended the suspects and confiscated the yaba tablets.
In addition to the yaba tablets, the team seized Taka 5.70 lakh, a motorcycle, and four mobile sets, which were allegedly used for drug trading.
