Four Business Establishments Fined for Unhygienic Practices in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj: A mobile court fined four business establishments yesterday in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj district for preparing food in unhygienic environments and other irregularities. The court conducted the drive at Pulerghat Bazar in the upazila.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the mobile court imposed fines totaling Taka 23,000 on Niribili Hotel, two sweet shops, and a grocery shop. The establishments were penalized for preparing food in unhealthy environments and operating without the necessary licenses and price lists.



Pakundia upazila Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Rifat Jahan stated, “We are regularly monitoring the market in public interest. No one will be spared if anyone is found involved in food adulteration, preparing food in unhygienic environments, or selling without price lists.” She further mentioned that such drives will continue in the future as well.
