Lijiang: BFF Academy Football team U-17 registered their second successive victory in the 2nd Tianyu Liufang Cup, thrashing the Sri Lanka Academy Football U-17 team by 8-0 in Lijiang, China, today (Monday).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tashan and Mehedi each scored twice, finding the net in the 16th, 43rd, 71st, and 76th minutes. Their efforts were bolstered by Naeem, Roni, Hedayet, and Swapan, who each contributed a goal in the 1st, 22nd, 39th, and 52nd minutes respectively.
The BFF Academy team is placed in Group A, alongside Sri Lanka U-17 and China’s Wuhan U-17. They are set to face Wuhan in their final group match.
Earlier, on Sunday, the BFF Academy boys secured a decisive 4-0 win against hosts Shenyang U-17 in their opening group-stage game.
