Habiganj: A woman and her son lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries when they were struck by a bus in the Dinarpur area under Nabiganj upazila of the district today. The tragic accident occurred on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at noon, involving a bus from 'Saudia Paribahan.'
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the identities of the deceased have not been determined yet. The collision resulted in the immediate death of the mother and her son, while the two injured individuals were rushed to the upazila health complex and are reported to be in critical condition.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Highway Police Station, Abu Taher Dewan, confirmed the incident, providing further details on the unfortunate accident. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
