Nine Police Inspectors Retired in Bangladesh

Dhaka: The government has officially sent nine police inspectors on retirement, marking a significant development within the Bangladesh Police force.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Home Ministry issued a gazette notification signed by its Senior Secretary, Nasimul Ghani, announcing the retirement decision on September 15. The order, intended for the “sake of public interest,” is effective immediately.



The notification stated that the nine police officers have completed 25 years of service, thus qualifying them for retirement under Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). The officers affected by this decision include KM Azizul Islam, Md. Abdur Rashid, Md. Jamal Uddin Mir, Akbar Ali Khan, Md. Sirajul Islam Sheikh, Mir Jahedul Haque Roni, Md. Asikuzzaman, Md. Azizur Rahman, and Md. Aslam Hossain.



These officers will be entitled to receive retirement benefits in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
