Intl Textile Trade Fair Held In Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh’s largest international textile trade fair was being held, with Chinese enterprises participating and showing a growing role in the textile supply chain. More than 1,500 companies from about 30 countries presented a wide range of fabrics and sustainable solutions, including biodegradable dyes and eco-friendly chemicals.



According to Nam News Network, Meherun N. Islam, president and group managing director of CEMS-Global and Asia-Pacific, stated that about 65 to 70 percent of the exhibitors this year were from China. This highlights both the scale and depth of Chinese enterprises’ engagement in Bangladesh’s textile industry. The significant presence of Chinese companies underscores their increasing involvement and influence in the global textile market, particularly within Bangladesh.



The fair serves as a pivotal platform for showcasing innovative and sustainable textile solutions. With a diverse array of international participants, the event emphasizes the importance of global collaboration in advancing the textile sector. The emphasis on eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices reflects a growing awareness and commitment to environmental responsibility within the industry.
