1230th Literary Meeting of RSSP Illuminates Rangpur

Rangpur: The 1230th literary meeting of the Rangpur Sahitya-Sangskriti Parishad (RSSP) was held Friday night at its Town Hall office with the theme "Life Illuminated by the Purity of Literature," as announced in a press release. The event was presided over by RSSP President Akhter and saw the attendance of writers, poets, and members of civil society.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof. Mohammad Shah Alam shared his literary journey during the meeting, while Tapas Mahmud presented an article titled "Kuashay Jochna Jhore, Kabitay Jiban O Pratyayer Sur." The evening featured poetry recitations by Khandaker Mahfuzar Rahman, Helen Ara Sydney, Sarkar Bablu, Anindya Awal, and others. Special poems dedicated to Prof. Shah Alam were read by Afzal Hossain and Tapas Kumar Roy, with Mehedi Masud also contributing with his poetry.

General Secretary Mamun Ur Rashid emphasized the importance of strengthening RSSP activities. The event included discussions on Shah Alam's literary contributions by Dr. Mofizul Islam Maantu, Advocate Masum Hasan, Shattik Shah Al Maruf, and Nargis Akhter Banu Jharna. Tazul Islam skillfully moderated the gathering, which celebrated the enduring impact of literature in society.
