Sewing Machines and Financial Assistance Distributed to Women in Rajbari

Rajbari: A total of 30 sewing machines and financial assistance have been provided to educated, distressed, and helpless women in the district under the initiative of the District Women’s Affairs Department. District Additional Deputy Commissioner Sankar Chandra Vaidya handed over the assistance among the beneficiaries as the chief guest at a function held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was presided over by District Women’s Affairs Officer Ajmiri Hossain. The initiative aims to empower women by providing them with tools and resources that can help them become self-reliant and improve their economic conditions.



Program Officer of the department, Tahmida Khanam, also spoke on the occasion. She highlighted the importance of such initiatives in uplifting the socioeconomic status of women in the district, emphasizing the role of the Women’s Affairs Department in supporting underprivileged women.
