Chattogram: The main absconding accused in a wife murder case under Char Jabbar Police Station in Noakhali district was detained by RAB-7 in the Agrabad area of the city last night. The detainee was identified as Md Yusuf, 35, son of Abul Hossain of Char Jabbar Police Station in Noakhali district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB sources said that acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-7 and RAB-11 conducted a drive in Billapara under Double Mooring thana and detained Yusuf around 7 pm. The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the murder case.
Following the detention, Yusuf was handed over to Double Mooring Police Station for taking necessary legal action. The authorities are now expected to proceed with further legal proceedings as the investigation continues.
